Mary Barto’s principal teachers include Julius Baker, Britton Johnson, John C. Krell. Former member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Performances with the New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, American Ballet Theatre and many freelance engagements throughout the United States. Flute and Harpsichord performances across Western Europe and the US. Founding member of the New York Five – current CD Choctaw Nights. On the faculties of Columbia University Teachers College, the Mannes College of Music, Hunter College of the City of New York and the Lucy Moses School. Recordings of many film scores including those of Academy Award winning composer, John Barry.
